The University of Ottawa and the friends of CIHR are pleased to present the 2021 Friesen Prize Lecture on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11am.
The Henry G. Friesen International Prize in Health Research was established in recognition of the distinguished leadership, vision and innovative contributions of Dr. Henry G. Friesen, a Canadian endocrinologist credited with redefining medical research in Canada.
This year’s event features the internationally acclaimed Professor Sir Mark Walport, 2020 Henry G. Friesen International Prize in Health Research winner and Chief Executive, UK Research & Innovation, and internationally renowned visionary health research planner. Professor Walport will speak on the topic of Medical Research and Innovation:Post-Pandemic Priorities.
