  • 28th Annual Canadian Radiation Oncology Refresher Course

    Drs. Matthew Beckett, Said AlSaifi, Laura Burgess, Alborz Jooya, Bayan Malakouti and Ege Babadagli attended The Annual Canadian Refresher Course October 17 – 22, 2022 which was hosted by the University of Calgary this year. The course is designed to provide radiation oncology residents, clinicians in practice, and other members of the Canadian radiation oncology community with a comprehensive review and update of clinical practice across most sub-disciplines of radiation oncology. Both our time based, and CBD residents will undergo the certification exams and we wish those writing all the best. Mock Oral exams for staff will soon start for those writing and we thank staff in advance for their time.

  • Welcoming Medical Physics Fellow Dr. Ghada Aldosary

    Dr. Ghada Aldosary is a clinical medical physics fellow within the Division of Medical Physics at the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre. She received her M.Sc. in Medical Physics from McGill University and her Ph.Dfrom Carleton University. She completed her clinical residency at McGill University Health Centre and holds certification in radiation oncology physics from the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine.

    Dr. Aldosary’s clinical interests include hypofrationated breast radiotherapy, stereotactic body radiotherapy, magnetic resonance imaging-guided radiotherapy, high-dose rate brachytherapy, 3D printed radiotherapy applications, workflow process optimization, data management, and quality improvement in radiation oncology.

    Dr. Aldosary is passionate about healthcare equity. She is interested in mentorship, as well as equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. She serves on several committees in the Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists and the American Association of Physicists in Medicine.

  • Fellow Dr. Balijot Chahal participates in CAR Advocacy Day

    Fellow Dr. Baljot Chahal will be involved in the CAR Advocacy Day on the Hill. This is a great opportunity for the radiology profession to advocate for medical imagining.
