Arts exhibit : Off-the-Beaten-Path
Sociology and Anthropology Week!
Feb 26, 2024 — All day
Every year, the School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies (SSAS) and the University of Ottawa's undergraduate (SASA) and graduate (SAGSA) student associations collaboratively organize Sociology and Anthropology Week. This year's theme is Off the beaten path : scientific knowledge beyond the university!

Event description
In the context of this week, the organizers are inviting artists to participate in an art exhibition on the theme: Hors-Piste, knowledge on the run! The theme of the exhibition follows that of the week. Artists are invited to submit projects that reflect on knowledge, its construction processes, and its role inside and outside the academic world. The exhibition is intended as a collaborative space where artists, students, professors, and public members can reflect on knowledge construction and transmission processes, whether in academic, organizational, public, or activist spaces, often presented as antinomic.
The event will be held on February 26th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Faculty of Social Sciences, room FSS 4004
