About the Speaker:
Philippe Zittoun focuses on the dynamics of public policy-making, with a particular interest in knowledge production and argumentative struggles within various arenas of debate. He has developed a pragmatic approach to public policy to better understand how power and meaning intertwine across multiple politico-administrative spaces. His work pays special attention to the political dimension of public policies—specifically, how problem definition and solution formulation constitute major ontologically political activities.
