Madison Fillmore selected for the CASID 2024 Conference’s Institutional Membership Prize

Congratulations to Madison Fillmore, a second year PhD student in the School of International Development and Global Studies (SIDGS).Ms. Fillmore participated in The Canadian Association for the Study of International Development (CASID)’s 2024 Conference this past June. Her paper, ‘Better than nothing?’ or ‘Nothing at all? The pursuit of women’s participation in peace processes through UN Special Envoy “advisory” boards in Yemen & Syria’ was awarded with the CASID Institutional Membership Prize for best original graduate student paper. This prize includes monetary rewards and consideration of the essay in the Canadian Journal of Development Studies (CJDS).
