India Civil Watch International (ICWI)
Law is a subject that interests me enormously. I wanted to gain more experience in this field. I chose to do my internship with India Civil Watch International (ICWI).
ICWI is an organization that seeks to denounce the abuses of the Indian government and the way in which the rights of various minorities are trampled underfoot, and is actively involved in a number of major court cases.
During my internship with ICWI, I learned a great deal about the political context in India, the discrimination suffered by various minorities and the legal means used to combat these injustices. This internship is an extremely rewarding experience: I can learn more about the subjects that interest me, deepen my knowledge of Indian culture and help an organization whose work I greatly respect and admire.
If I can give one piece of advice to students reading this post who are hesitating to take part in an international internship: don't hesitate, take the plunge! It's one of the best experiences I've had at university.
