IELS requirements:

You must meet the following requirements to receive a designation of “In-depth Experiential Learning Stream” on your diploma:

  1. Complete the requirements of a program of study which offers the In-depth Experiential Learning Stream.
  2. Complete at least 30 course units (10 courses) of IELS labelled courses including: 
    • FSS 1300;
    • FSS 3330;
    • POL 21563;
    • 15 optional course units labelled IELS, including 12 course units (4 courses) in Political Science (POL) at the 3000 or 4000 level and 3 course units (1 course) in modern languages, from the list of courses offered by one of the foreign universities approved by the School of Political Studies;
    • 6 course units (2 courses) outside the discipline from the list of IELS courses.
