Description of the event

Are you looking for a conducive environment for writing? The Library and the Academic Writing Support Centre invite you to a writing retreat. 

This retreat offers a quiet, structured and motivating space to make progress on your work. Whether you’re working on a term paper, a report or a research project, you’ll be able to do so in an atmosphere of concentration and camaraderie, alongside other students.

Throughout the day, writing mentors and librarians will be on hand to answer your questions and support you throughout the retreat.

9:00 - 9:45 a.m.Motivating Coffee Break: Connecting and advancing together over coffee and treats
9:45  - 10:45 a.m.Writing Block 
10:45 - 11:00 a.m.Break
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.Writing Block 
12:00  - 1:00 p.m.Lunch break and 10-minute "speed-meetings" with a librarian, writing mentor or career mentor, offered during lunch break. Ask questions, receive guidance, and learn about resources (first come, first served).
1:00 -1:45 p.m.Workshop: Research Data Management
1:45 - 3:00 p.m.Writing Block
