Animal User Training Registration Form

New to the program or joining a new lab? Please complete the form below to register your intent to work with animals.

The Training Coordinator will confirm your training requirements and provide you with access to our online systems. Please allow up to 5 business days for your registration to be processed.

New principal investigator

The Animal Care and Veterinary Service (ACVS)  and Animal Ethics and Compliance (AEC) Directors would like to understand your plans for animal use and introduce you to the program and the services available to support your research. The AEC Director and the Training Coordinator will also provide you with an introduction to the Topaz animal use protocol management system and answer any questions you may have regarding the uOttawa Animal Care Committee, the protocol approval process, and animal user training.

All personnel working with animals will receive access to Topaz, our online protocol management system, in order to read and understand the animal protocols under which you will be working.
