To ensure the best possible experience for our graduates, the University of Ottawa has retained the services of Gaspard LP. By providing a few details in advance, you’ll receive a tailored gown and hood, colour-coded for your faculty.

Important - If you're attending your graduation ceremony, you will receive an email in early May with instructions on how to reserve your gown and hood. Please note that purchasing online will be available from May 7 at 10 a.m. to May 22 at 5:30 p.m.

Purchasing online in advance (recommended)

The fees for gown and hood rental are $85 (plus taxes) online in advance. We strongly recommend that you reserve online in advance. Not only do you save over $35, but you avoid lineups!

You can make online reservations until Friday, May 22, 5:30 p.m. No cancellations are permitted after this date and no refunds will be given. Changes to rental orders can be made online through the Gaspard LP website prior to this date only. Sign on using you email address when you placed your rental.

Purchasing in person (not recommended)

The fees for gown and hood rental are $120 (plus taxes) on convocation day.

Policy on traditional Indigenous attire at the convocation ceremonies

Students of Indigenous backgrounds who wish to wear traditional ceremonial attire in the place of an academic gown and hood are permitted to do so without requiring permission from their faculties
