Donor Outcome Report
The University of Ottawa is grateful to every donor who made a difference in 2015–2016.
You offered students support to help them succeed and gave them opportunities to build a stronger Canada and a better world. You also funded research that will improve the lives of Canadians. Moreover, you inspired us to defy the conventional, not only in teaching and research, but in service to society as well.
As you can read in this year’s outcome report, donors to the University of Ottawa Brain and Mind Research Institute helped a 61-year-old with Parkinson’s disease deliver on the promise he made to his daughter that he would dance with her at her wedding. You can also read about two donors who gave a gift to the University on their wedding day, as a way to honour their parents and help attract young women to engineering. I hope you enjoy reading all the stories we’ve chosen to highlight the impact donors have on our campus and beyond.
Thanks to you, we are halfway to meeting the Defy the Conventional campaign’s $400 million goal. With your help, we will continue to harness the potential of the next generation and strengthen our society.
Thank you for your commitment to uOttawa.
