Office of the Chief Risk Officer
Nominate a Health and Safety Leader
The Office of the Chief Risk Officer recognizes the exceptional commitment uOttawa's staff and faculty members to workplace health and safety. The Health and Safety Leader award honors staff and faculty who exemplify the core principles outlined in Policy 77 and actively contribute to advancing health and safety in their respective areas of responsibility.
Award Criteria - Safety Leader Belt
Criteria for nomination
The form must be completed by the person nominating the individual or team.
Describe how the individual or team demonstrates core principles of Policy 77 (engagement, hazard identification and risk assessment, providing appropriate training and education, measuring and communicating performance, continuous improvement)
Describe how the individual or team serves to advance workplace health and safety in their area of responsibility.
Selection process
The Occupational Health and Safety team considers the nominations a monthly basis based on the selction criteria.
Additional information
The trophy is awarded monthly.
This is a separate initiative from the annual President’s Award for Health, Safety, Risk Management, and Environmental Leadership.
