The large-scale Workday project is moving along in a positive direction. As a reminder, the launch date has moved from December 2022 to February 2023.

There are many exciting updates as to where we are presently and where we are headed:

  • The Workday team is currently moving into the testing phase which will run until November 2022. This testing phase is meant to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible when we launch.
  • The super user community has begun their familiarization of the system in preparation of the end-to-end testing. This community consists of more than 150 employees who help identify problems and participate in their resolution. They also ensure proper communication with the project team and identify the impacts of changes for their faculty and service. They will work with the project team to test various tasks and scenarios in the coming months.
  • Nearly 1000 people took the Openness to Change survey, allowing the Workday team to tweak the implementation strategy and to see what changes would be required to involve people as much as possible.

Training updates:

Training development will begin in June and will continue until October 2022. Then, a run-in period will take place in November and December 2022 inclusively. Most of the training will be delivered in the weeks leading up to the rollout of Workday, in January and February 2023.

The training format will vary according to content and user needs. Training delivery methods include online self-training, virtual/in-person instructor-led training, and one-on-one coaching (super user community).
