These sessions are a great opportunity for you to quickly acquire in-depth technical skills, and are exclusive to you as a University of Ottawa student. These extra-curricular workshops are offered at a reduced cost, making them an accessible way to invest in your future.

About the workshop

This four-hour interactive micro-training offers a dynamic space to explore your sense of agency, your ability to create change, and your role as a leader in society. The training places a strong emphasis on taking action, even without a formal title or position of authority.

Learning Objectives

Teaching Approach

The training follows an interactive, experiential approach that emphasizes active participation. It is grounded in real-life situations and encourages both individual and collective reflection.

Learning methods include guided discussions, small-group work, individual reflection exercises, case studies, and collaborative challenges, all designed to foster engagement, active learning, and concrete action.

About the Instructor

Martin Robichaud, M.Ed., ACC is a leadership coach certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), as well as a facilitator and leadership consultant. He is the founder of MR EduCo Services and also teaches university-level courses in leadership and management. For several years, he has supported youth, teams, and organizations in developing leadership capacity, agency, and essential human skills.

Known for his human-centered, interactive, and practice-based approach, Martin is recognized for his openness and sensitivity to social issues and the broader world. He has worked with young people from diverse backgrounds in Canada and internationally, which informs his inclusive and engaged perspective on leadership.

Alongside his training work, he offers individual coaching to support personal and professional growth, help individuals clarify their leadership posture, and take action in ways that align with their values. His work places a strong emphasis on social leadership, transformational leadership, and youth empowerment.
