Lift your spirits in the warm and loving presence of these specially trained dogs.

Inclusive support for all

Mashkawazìwogamig Indigenous Resource Centre, a place of strength

The University of Ottawa’s main campus stands on the ancestral lands of the Algonquin Nation. The Mashkawazìwogamig Indigenous Resource Centre works with the University’s faculties and departments to develop initiatives that support and benefit First Nations, Inuit and Métis students, one of many steps towards a new relationship that recognizes and celebrates Indigenous culture and values. The centre regularly invites all students to get to know the Indigenous community and learn more at Soup and Bannock and other events.

Take pride in diversity and support the 2SLGBTQ+ community

The University of Ottawa prides itself on being a safe and welcoming space where diversity and inclusivity are highly valued. The uOttawa Students’ Union runs the Pride Centre, offering resources, advocacy, programming and events, including a drop-in lounge, a quiet room, gender-affirming products, a queer library, pro bono therapy and safer sex and sanitary supplies. The Centre represents gender-positive, gender-diverse, anti-sexist, anti-colonial, anti-racist and anti-ableist students, as well as allies interested in 2SLGBTQ+ issues.
