Description

This international symposium will convene preservice teachers from the University of Ottawa, Canada, and the University of Benin, Nigeria, to showcase practical approaches to teaching science and environmental education with low-cost, locally sourced materials.

As a subset of a larger study, the symposium will test the practicality of cross-cultural, frugal innovation in teacher education, while advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 5 – Gender Equality, SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals).
