Biography

Dr. Mohamed Abdallah is an Adjunct Professor in the Civil Engineering Department, University of Ottawa. He received his PhD in Environmental Engineering from uOttawa in 2011, and then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Environmental Engineering. Dr. Abdallah has been an Associate Professor of Environmental Engineering at the University of Sharjah since 2016. In the last 4 years, he has been highly active in research with over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He was awarded multiple research grants with total funds of $1 million from academic and industrial partners.

Dr. Abdallah is also a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario with several years of experience in international consulting firms. He is specialized in the planning and design of municipal infrastructure, as well as the strategic environmental assessment and economic feasibility projects. Dr. Abdallah carried out various projects for leading developers in North/South America, Asia, and Africa. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering, and the Association of Energy Engineers.
