Nan Chen joined the University of Ottawa in July 2025 as an assistant professor at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Professor Chen received her doctorate in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2019. She was also a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Waterloo between 2019 and 2020. From 2021 to 2025, she worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Tennessee Tech University, USA.
Her current research interests include resource allocation and infrastructure planning for electric vehicles, vehicular networks (5G/6G), and smart grids.
