² HSS 6995- Directed Studies in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences or the elective course can be taken in the fall or winter term of the first year.

² Students who register in HSS 6995 must also complete and sign the Abstract of Directed Study Form, obtain the necessary approvals and submit it by service request or by email to [email protected].

² Students can replace the HSS 6995 course with an elective from the list of approved courses or another graduate-level course. This option requires approval from the course professor, with confirmation that the prerequisites (if applicable) are met, as well as approval from the thesis supervisor. Approval from the Associate Director of Graduate Studies is required, except for courses chosen from the approved list. The approvals must be sent by service request or by email to [email protected].
