The Shirley Greenberg Chair is designed to strengthen teaching, research and administration with respect to feminist perspectives on the law. It is also designed to maintain and foster links between women in the legal academy and women in the legal profession.

Purpose of Fund

This one-year scholarship will be offered to an outstanding LLM or PhD candidate who is pursuing graduate studies in law with a focus on feminist analysis of law and/or advancing women's equality. Visit the Shirley Greenberg Chair for more information

Eligibility criteria

  • Admitted as a full-time student in the LL.M. or PhD in Law program at Faculty of Law of the University of Ottawa;
  • Demonstrate that the proposed research project with respect to feminist perspectives on the law;
  • Demonstrate academic achievement

  • Curriculum Vitae;
  • applicant’s research proposal (2-5 pages);
  • a letter of support from an academic source;
  • a personal statement from the applicant detailing why he/she is applying to thescholarship;
  • a copy of the applicant’s academic transcript.
