The overall goal of the Foundations in Applied Medical Education (FAME) program—formerly known as the Healthcare Education Scholars Program (HESP)—is to enhance the knowledge and skills of educators and to foster a strong foundation in academic scholarship within health professions education.

Application deadline for 2026-2027: April 14th, 2026 at midnight

We provide theoretical scaffolding to those activities that our clinician educators take part in on a daily basis, as well as promote a deeper understanding of how these activities relate to our goal of producing more effective healthcare providers. We aim to inspire innovation and scholarship among the participants, develop a community of scholars who can support each other, and ultimately provide leadership for the next generation of clinician educators.

This program is only offered in English.
