These are some important dates you should keep in mind:

  • March 13, 2026 – Last day to submit online application
  • March 23, 2026 – Deadline to receive documents for application
  • Late March to mid‑April 2026 – Invitations to interviews are sent out
  • Early to mid‑April 2026 – Interview dates
  • Late April 2026 – Admission offers are sent out

Honours BSc in Ophthalmic Medical Technology


The Honours BSc in Ophthalmic Medical Technology is intended for students who have completed the first two years of undergraduate study in Health Sciences, Sciences, or an equivalent field. Eligible students may apply for admission directly to the third year of this specialized two-year program.
 
  • Duration: 2 years (4 terms)
  • Program offered on a full-time basis only
  • Years 3 and 4 are offered in English only

Four-year direct-entry stream (current students only)

This admission pathway is no longer accepting new applicants.

The information below applies only to students currently enrolled in the four-year direct-entry stream.

Students must successfully complete an admissions interview to be admitted to Years 3 and 4 of the program (the clinical component). The program office will communicate directly with eligible students regarding the admission process, timelines, and requirements.
 
  • Duration: 4 years (12 terms)
  • Program offered on a full-time basis only
  • Years 1 and 2 are offered in English and French
  • Years 3 and 4 are offered in English only
