Early Career Researcher Award
The Early Career Researcher Award is presented annually to a faculty member of the Faculty of Social Sciences who has made remarkable contributions to the advancement of their unit and significantly in their field.
"Recevoir le Prix de la chercheuse en début de carrière représente pour moi un honneur. Comme femme anicinapek8e / atikamekw et chercheuse, je reçois cette reconnaissance comme un encouragement à poursuivre un travail qui vise à faire entendre des voix encore trop souvent absentes des espaces de recherche et de décision.
Au-delà d’une réalisation individuelle, ce prix témoigne de la richesse des collaborations établies avec les communautés, les partenaires et les personnes étudiantes qui contribuent à faire avancer ces réflexions. Il souligne également l’importance de créer des espaces où les savoirs autochtones peuvent être reconnus comme des fondements légitimes de la recherche, de l’enseignement et de la transformation des pratiques.
J’y vois un encouragement à poursuivre ce travail avec rigueur, humilité et engagement afin de contribuer à une meilleure compréhension des enjeux de justice, d’autodétermination et d’équité qui traversent nos sociétés."

Excellence in Research Award
The Excellence in Research Award is given annually to a faculty member in the Faculty of Social Sciences who has made exceptional contributions to the growth of their unit and significant advancements in their field.
"There is no shortage of research excellence at the Faculty of Social Sciences, and I am delighted to have been selected for this award this year. It is particularly gratifying in a professional context where we constantly face criticism – sometimes harsh – especially in peer reviews, and receive rejections from all kinds of applications. So, a big thank you to the Faculty for this lovely recognition. I am proud to be a member of a School and a Faculty that recognize the importance of research in professors’ careers and support their research endeavours."

Award for Service Excellence
The Award for Service Excellence is granted to a member of the administrative staff to tangibly recognize the importance of quality service excellence in the student experience. The award recognizes the key role that employees play in positions geared toward service.

Administrative Staff Award
The Administrative Staff Award is granted to a member of the administrative staff that has contributed to the betterment of the Faculty and the unit in which he or she works, through his or her initiative, creativity and superior performance.

Excellence in Teaching Award
The Excellence in Teaching Award is granted to a member of the teaching staff, nominated by his or her peers, who has demonstrated outstanding performance in his or her teaching, in particular in the development of innovative teaching material, courses, and programs of study, and for his or her interpersonal skills.
"While pursuing my PhD, I held positions as Teaching Assistant which enabled me to see Professors teach to a filled capacity classroom. I was amazed at how someone could lecture for three hours! After graduating I was given the opportunity to teach in a full capacity classroom, and to my surprise it emerged as a natural conversation with my students. I remember thinking “this is who I am”! So being awarded for Excellence in Teaching, I am truly honoured to be recognized by my Faculty for a career that rewards after every lecture."
