What makes this experience even more symbolic is that my host NGO had just started the project I was working on, so I have the chance to witness the implementation of a project that will positively affect the lives of over 300 people.

In March 2020, when it was time to leave face-to-face classes and adopt online courses, to be honest, for me it was the only silver lining of the pandemic, or so I thought. I'd had enough of 8:30 a.m. classes, where I had to get ready to go to class, so in winter it was a nightmare.

However, after just a few months, all I wanted to do was return to the classroom. It was impossible to follow a course with my full attention as I used to do in the classroom. I spent more time on revision than usual because I found it hard to concentrate during online courses.

I wanted to say all this so that you could understand how distance learning didn't really suit me. However, I took this distance learning course because I knew that I was going to devote myself to it as much as possible and that it was a very important learning opportunity for me, but also because it's practical learning rather than theoretical, with this course I had the chance to put into practice everything I've had to learn over the last four years.

And, I can assure you, it was probably one of the best decisions I ever made. Indeed, my internship was undoubtedly an incredible experience, being able to participate in the development of a project that has such a huge impact on the lives of so many people. What makes this experience even more symbolic is that my host NGO had just started the project I was working on, so I have the chance to witness the implementation of a project that will positively affect the lives of over 300 people.

It was a very pleasant experience, and I learned a lot of things I didn't know before, but I'm convinced that it would have been absolutely incredible if I'd done it directly in the host country, alongside the members of the NGO and the people we help.
