The University of Ottawa’s new Entrepreneurship Hub (E-Hub) is about so much more than learning to start a business. We promote the development of an entrepreneurial culture and seek to inspire students to see change and uncertainty as a source of opportunities. We provide spaces to experiment and to test ideas and access to tools, resources and networks. Through E-Hub’s social enterprise track, we will engage and empower students—from all faculties and schools, giving them the knowledge, confidence, technological tools and experience they need to succeed at all stages of their entrepreneurial journey, to accelerate their social enterprises and to build an entrepreneurial identity.
The Entrepreneurship Hub is led by the Telfer School of Management, the Faculty of Engineering and the Technology Transfer and Business Enterprise office. It will continue successful programs such as Startup Garage and will implement new initiatives such as an entrepreneurship mentoring program to bring young entrepreneurs together, a co-op program to enable students to earn money while working at their own companies and an entrepreneurship fund to provide space, financing and mentoring to startups.
