Starting in his teens, Gabriel Bouchard-Phillips (BCom ’05) would invest the savings from his earnings as a paper boy, and already was buying on the stock market. So, studying finance was an obvious choice for him, and he was able to nurture his passion at uOttawa’s Telfer School of Management from 2001 to 2005.

Marie des Anges Loyer worked closely with her financial adviser and the Development Office to find a way to achieve her ambitious philanthropic goals without compromising her lifestyle. Today, she can take pride in having built a substantial philanthropical legacy at the University of Ottawa to help others through knowledge.

Achieving philanthropic goals with lasting impact is much more than a simple financial transaction. It’s a process, often family-based, which involves a great deal of emotion, reflection and planning.
