Zoé Schwindt is a PhD candidate in Law at the University of Ottawa Centre for Law, Technology and Society, under the supervision of Dr. Florian Martin-Bariteau, where she is also the coordinator of the AI + Society research program of the University Research Chair in Technology and Society.
Zoé Schwindt’s doctoral research focuses on the regulation and governance of extended realities, particularly on the proper enforcement and respect for users’ rights on these platforms. She also works on legal issues related to artificial intelligence, intellectual property, and privacy.
Zoé Schwindt holds a dual bachelor's degree in law and applied foreign languages from Université Savoie-Mont-Blanc and an LL.M. in Law and Technology from the University of Ottawa. She received the French Embassy Award for the best French-language thesis for her work titled “Le droit de marque à l'heure du Métaverse”. She has also expanded her skills through various professional experiences in France, Luxembourg, and Canada.
