Eddie Goldenberg Research Chair of Canada in Applied Isotope Science
This research will provide Canada with advanced tools to monitor environmental change, strengthen water security, support Arctic research and improve traceability in supply chains. The resulting evidence will help governments, communities and industries make better decisions related to climate adaptation, resource management and environmental stewardship.

Eddie Goldenberg Research Chair of Canada in Nutrition and Metabolic Health
With obesity and metabolic disease affecting millions of Canadians, this chair will generate evidence to improve prevention and treatment strategies, inform public policy and support innovation in the food and pharmaceutical sectors. The research has the potential to improve health outcomes while reducing long-term pressures on the health-care system.

Eddie Goldenberg Research Chair of Canada in Equity-Oriented Responses to the Drug Toxicity and Housing Crises
This research will support more effective, equitable and culturally safe responses to two interconnected public health crises. By working closely with communities, health systems and Indigenous partners, the program will help develop policies and interventions that reduce harm, improve health outcomes and strengthen community well-being.

Eddie Goldenberg Research Chair of Canada in Emerging Sustainable Materials for the Energy Transition
The chair will help advance Canada’s clean energy transition by developing sustainable materials for next-generation energy technologies. The research supports economic growth in high-technology sectors, strengthens Canada’s advanced manufacturing capacity through partnerships and training of highly qualified personnel and contributes to a more sustainable, low-carbon economy.

Eddie Goldenberg Research Chair of Canada in Ultrafast Chirality for Health, Environment, and Quantum Technologies
This work has the potential to improve disease detection, strengthen pharmaceutical safety, enhance environmental monitoring and contribute to emerging quantum technologies. By bringing together health, environmental and technology applications, the chair will help position Canada at the forefront of a rapidly evolving field with significant economic and societal benefits.
Jennifer Spence
Eddie Goldenberg Research Chair of Canada in Arctic Governance and Community Resilience
As environmental, geopolitical and economic pressures in the Arctic intensify, this chair will help strengthen Canada’s capacity to influence Arctic governance, advance climate adaptation and foster international cooperation. Working with partners, the research will support Indigenous and northern leadership, strengthen policy coordination and develop community-driven approaches to building resilience in the face of a rapidly changing environment.

Eddie Goldenberg Research Chair of Canada in Next-Generation Translational T-Cell Immunotherapies
This chair will accelerate the development of safer and more effective cancer treatments while strengthening Canada’s biotherapeutics and clinical research capacity. The program will help build a Canadian pipeline for advanced cell therapies, create new opportunities for innovation and improve outcomes for people living with cancer.
