Overcome procrastination and isolation with the Writing Circle. Discover what the power of collective motivation and support can do for your academic writing!

What is the Writing Circle?

The Writing Circle is an initiative led by the Academic Writing Help Centre and the Library. The circle offers students a collaborative space to work on writing projects, overcome common challenges like procrastination and isolation, and build positive writing habits.

Whether you’re starting a major paper, editing a thesis chapter or simply looking for structured time to write, the Writing Circle is designed to help you stay focused and inspired.

Why attend?

  • Combat procrastination: Regularly scheduled sessions help you build momentum and hold yourself accountable.
  • Overcome isolation: Connect with other students who understand the challenges of academic writing.
  • Boost productivity: Set clear goals for each session, and celebrate progress in a supportive environment.
  • Find inspiration: Exchange ideas, tips and motivation with peers and writing mentors.
