If you have not recently graduated from, or are currently not enrolled at the University of Ottawa, you must apply with your home university, even if you plan to hold the scholarship at the University of Ottawa.
Applications must be submitted through the Online Scholarships portal, accessible via the uoZone portal, and must include:
- Completed and signed application form. You may download the form from the scholarship website at https://mkingscholarships.ca/home-page/download-an-application/
- Sheet A: On a sheet, please indicate (1) any undergraduate and graduate awards you have received (please give the name, the year(s) of tenure and the annual value), (2) any work experience (professional, business) related to your field of study, and (3) your publications relevant to your field of study. Sheet A may be more than one page.
- Sheet B: On a sheet, please describe your academic interests, extracurricular activities, and the program of studies you intend to pursue, and outline your plans for a career. Your statement must be readily understandable by someone outside your discipline, and must be complete in 600 words.
- Three letters of recommendation from individuals with thorough knowledge of your file and abilities who can provide a critical evaluation of your graduate studies plans. Letters of recommendation must not be disclosed to the applicant and must be sent directly by the referee in digital PDF format to the Financial Aid and Awards at [email protected]
