How to buy a Discover uOttawa card from the card dispenser and reloading station (cost of $3):

1. Touch the screen and select "purchase visitor card"
2. Pay with Visa, MasterCard or Interac Flash
3. Retrieve the card

Funds are non-refundable and non-transferable.

The uOttawa card serves as the:

• Official uOttawa ID
• Sports facilities access and gym membership card
• uOttawa Library card - valid to borrow materials from affiliated libraries at Carleton U and St Paul’s U
• Debit card for Flex Dollars valid anywhere accepted on campus including
  • food kiosks,
  • vending machines,
  • DocUcentre,
  • the Dining Hall,
  • photocopies and print services,
  • the Campus store and more.

You can add funds onto your Discover card uOttawa online or at any card dispenser and reloading station or in person at the uOttawa Card Service.

Online

Funds can be added at any time, day or night, by logging on as a visitor. On this secure website, you can load your card by using Visa, MasterCard or Interac on line (through BMO (Bank of Montreal), TD Canada Trust (Toronto Dominion), RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) or ScotiaBank). The minimum amount you can load online is $25.

Card dispenser and reloading stations

Funds can be added at any card dispenser and reloading station on campus.

In person

Bring your Discover uOttawa card to the uOttawa Card Service to load it with funds by using Interac, Visa, MasterCard, a certified cheque or a money order. Cheques should be made out to “uOttawa Card Service”.

To access in-person uOttawa Card services, save time and join the virtual line using the QLess virtual line. You will receive a notification when it's your time to be served.
