CCERBAL 2025 Conference
A highlight of this year’s Conference was a decidedly thought-provoking plenary session with Professor Robert-Falcon Ouellette (uOttawa), who spoke on the integration of Indigenous languages.

With the help of his son, Professor Ouellette conducted a purification ceremony known as a smudge. Sweetgrass, cedar and sage were burned to the sound of music and singing to welcome the attendees.
We would like to thank the 150 people who registered for the CCERBAL 2025 Conference.
CCERBAL 2025 took place from May 8 to May 10 at uOttawa's Learning Crossroads and INNOVA Space.
Carrefour francophone : savoirs et pratiques
This event featured eight specialized training workshops aimed at professors and brought together some acclaimed experts from the field of education. Cynthia Eid, who is President of the Fédération internationale des professeurs de français (FIPF), and Professor Aline Germain-Rutherford, from uOttawa Faculty of Education, were among the presenters.

Some 50 people registered for this first-ever OLBI Université de printemps event. The Carrefour francophone : savoirs et pratiques event took place on May 12 and 13 at uOttawa’s INNOVA Space.
Participant testimonial
"I had the opportunity to participate online in both CCERBAL 2025 and the Carrefour francophone : savoirs et pratiques. I found both these events to be enriching, stimulating and profoundly inspiring. They were very thought-provoking and deepened my understanding of my thesis topic, which is the plurilingual approach in Franco-Ontarian schools. It was unforgettable. I would like to sincerely thank the organizers and all the presenters for their commitment and their high-quality presentations."
