With the advancement of technology, network and data protection is more important than ever. With lens of security in mind, the University of Ottawa is preparing to take a step forward in the implementation of the Network Security Management initiative.

This solution will improve data security, while ensuring better access management to the University of Ottawa network for its users.

For people working from computers provided by the University or accessing our services from the Web, they will see little change.

The project is aligned with the Digital Campus Transformation Plan by combining optimal data management principles with best practices in cybersecurity. Deployment will begin later in 2023. It will have a significant impact on the harmonization of standards, risk management processes, and technical capabilities in terms of the University’s computer security and data protection.

This implementation is part of the University's sustainable practices, aiming to ensure the long-term success of its technological solutions. This is a crucial investment in taking steps to ensure the security of university data for years to come.
