Puisque ses discours lui donnaient souvent l'occasion d'expliquer sa pensée juridique et de partager ses opinions sur différents sujets, un besoin fut senti d'établir une banque de donnée qui recueille tous les discours du juge Dickson, provenant de diverses sources, surtout de ses propres archives entreposées aux Archives nationales du Canada.
