The School of Music of the Faculty of Arts provides the rigorous training needed for a vibrant and successful career in music. The programs include options in performance, musicology, theory, composition, music education, piano pedagogy, and arts administration. Ensembles include the Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, University of Ottawa Choir, Calixa-Lavallée Choir, Opera Workshop and several smaller ensembles.

Our School of Music is one of the country’s leading music schools. We maintain close ties with renowned institutions such as the National Arts Centre and the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra. You will have access to our state-of-the-art music facilities and internationally recognized professors, who perform around the globe and publish in leading academic journals.
