Professor Bergeron has been teaching part-time since 2014, and at the Faculty of Education since 2018. His work falls within the field of sociology of education and focuses on the relationship between language, power, and education in Francophone minority contexts. Developed in collaboration with national and international partners (Europe, Latin America, Indian Ocean), his research program addresses linguistic ideologies, linguistic insecurity, and inclusion dynamics in relation to contemporary challenges in teacher education. With experience teaching over 50 university courses, he has secured several research grants and has over 160 publications and scientific presentations to his credit. He founded the Centre de recherche et d'innovation en francophonie éducationnelle (CRIFÉ) at Cégep Gérald-Godin. His work contributes to ongoing discussions regarding equity, diversity, and inclusion within Francophone and Francophile communities.
