Supervising a learner in the clinical setting means creating an environment that supports learning, encouraging clinical reasoning, providing constructive feedback, and assessing progress fairly and effectively.
Over two days of in-person training, participants will build a strong foundation in clinical teaching, explore practical tools they can apply in their own settings, and connect with other healthcare professionals involved in French-language clinical education.

Learning objectives
By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
- apply key principles of adult learning to clinical supervision;
- use effective strategies to support learners in the clinical environment;
- encourage clinical reasoning through purposeful questioning;
- provide constructive feedback that supports learner development;
- assess competency development and contribute to summative evaluation.
Who should attend?
This training is intended for French-speaking healthcare professionals who supervise learners — or who are interested in beginning to supervise learners — in clinical settings.
It is suitable both for new preceptors and for those who wish to strengthen their foundations in clinical teaching. No previous preceptorship experience is required.
