Ways to Get Involved
Student Proposed Internship
Students who enroll in a SPI with the Hub will get to learn from a variety of experiential learning opportunities. Students will learn from a variety of tasks such as:
- Speaking with First Nation entities about their land and consultation challenges
- Participating in delivering legal training and training on consultation and land management to First Nation leadership and lands officers.
- Providing legal educational tools where helpful such as:
o Access to case summaries
o Links to relevant legislation and policies
o Template language for letters, protocols and agreements
Directed Research Project
Students who enroll in a DRP research a more specific legal topic which is within the scope of the Hub’s work. Examples of these topics include:
- Draft educational chapters, papers, research memos and other resource tools relating to lands, consultation and accommodation.
