Sample Consultation Protocols
- A consultation protocol is an agreement between First Nations, the Crown, and sometimes industry proponents. It sets out the responsibilities and expectations of each party in the consultation.
- The Hub can provide sample consultation protocols upon request and support First Nations in key considerations when drafting a protocol.
Industry-Specific Template Response Letters
- The Hub may provide template letters for First Nations to use when responding to requests for consultation from the Crown or industry proponents.
Information on Impact Benefit Agreements
- Impact benefit agreements can be signed between First Nations, the Crown, and relevant industry partners to provide benefits to First Nations when a project affects their section 35 rights.
