Our MPH program prepares graduates to be skilled, adaptable public health leaders equipped to respond to evolving health challenges in Canada and globally. Through rigorous training and applied learning, students develop the knowledge, analytical skills, and confidence needed to advance public health practice, shape effective policy, and address global health priorities. Our goal is to empower graduates to create meaningful, lasting improvements in population health.

Situated close to the federal government and a network of wide local and national organizations, you will have access to meaningful, career-shaping practicum experiences. Many of our adjunct faculty members are actively engaged in federal roles, giving you the chance to learn from professionals tackling today’s most pressing public health challenges.

Through our partnership with the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA), we offer a specialized concentration in public health policy. This distinctive program allows you to gain insight into how public health is delivered on the ground and how impactful health policies are developed and implemented. No other MPH program in Ontario offers a dedicated policy concentration like this and ours stands alone in Canada through its direct connection to a school of public affairs.

We also offer something truly unique: the MPH+ option. This innovative pathway allows you to incorporate language training into your degree, equipping you with a powerful advantage in bilingual and global careers. 

• Train Adaptable Public Health Leaders:

  Develop graduates who can respond effectively to evolving public health challenges in Canada and globally through critical thinking, collaboration, and applied problem-solving.

• Develop Public Health Policy Competence:

  Equip all students with a strong foundation in public health policy development, analysis, implementation and advocacy so they can influence evidence-informed decision-making in public health systems.

• Strengthen Multilingual Public Health Capacity:

  Prepare graduates to work effectively in diverse cultural, international, and multilingual public health environments.

We offer two full-time programs in public health:

1. MPH: a 16-month course-based program; 
2. MPH+: a 20-month course-based program with language training 

Each students selects a specialization within their chosen program:

1. Public health practice
2. Public health policy
3. Global health
