Presented by the uOttawa Library and the Collège des chaires de recherche sur le monde francophone.
Exhibit: “Envisioning the Future of Virtual Care with Ontario’s Francophone Community: A Narrative Inquiry and Co-creation Workshops.”
Sep 3, 2026 to Sep 30, 2026 — All day
This September, in celebration of Franco-Ontarian Day, come explore the future of French-language telehealth through comics at the Health Sciences Library (Roger Guindon Hall, Alta Vista Campus).
Exhibit: “Envisioning the Future of Virtual Care with Ontario’s Francophone Community: A Narrative Inquiry and Co-creation Workshops.”
In 2024, Professor Sylvie Grosjean and her team collaborated with comic book artist Martin PM to create a short graphic work on the future of remote health care for Franco-Ontarians, “Imaginons les soins virtuels du futur avec les francophones de l’Ontario : Enquête narrative et ateliers de cocréation”.
The comic takes a whimsical look at the findings of a study on the future of digital health care for Franco-Ontarian minorities, which used a co-design approach to understand the use and social acceptance of digital health technology. The study was conducted from 2021 to 2024 by the Chaire de recherche en francophonie internationale sur les technologies numériques en santé.
In September 2026, to mark Franco-Ontarian Day (September 25), the uOttawa Library and the Collège des chaires de recherche sur le monde francophone invite you to discover a giant version of this comic book on display at the Health Sciences Library (Roger Guindon Hall, Alta Vista Campus). Exhibit presented in French only.
