Our services are offered to faculty researchers, current students, and research groups affiliated with the University of Ottawa, at no cost. Requests for service may be queued where demand exceeds capacity, and if appropriate, co-authorship and/or in-kind contribution may be a requirement of the service.
Support services for Digital Humanities projects
Our digital humanities and digital cultures services include, but are not limited to the following:
- Helping to develop and shape digital projects through consultations.
- Advocating, training and supporting researchers in the use of best practices, including copyright.
- Recommending the best (out-of-the-box/open-access) technology to suit the digital project, such as Omeka (see Terms of Service for uOttawa Library hosted Omeka sites).
- Training in all aspects of digital curation.
- Supporting classroom-based projects.
- Offering general project reviews and suggestions.
- Troubleshooting for technical issues.
Should you need additional support to manage research data, find equipment for digital/podcast activities and more, we will gladly connect you to our colleagues who are subject-matter experts.
Please note that the following services are not provided: drafting original text, creating logos, scanning documents, evaluating students’ work and managing a digital humanities/cultures project.
