Students who are interested in undertaking graduate studies in environmental law at the master's level can choose to pursue either a general LL.M. with thesis or research paper, or an LL.M. with concentration in Global Sustainability and Environmental Law

Students at the doctoral level whose research is in the area of environmental law can work under the supervision of one of our faculty members in pursuit of the Ph.D. in Law.

Benjamin Wiles is Master of Laws (LL.M.) candidate at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law. He is the recipient of a Graduate Entrance Scholarship and a research fellow at the Centre for Environmental Law and Global Sustainability. Benjamin holds a dual common-civil law degree (LL.B., summa cum laude) from Tilburg University and the University of Edinburgh Law School. Erin Dobbelsteyn is currently completing her LL.M. in Global Sustainability and Environmental Law at the University of Ottawa. She is the recipient of the 2019–2020 Environmental Justice Research Fellowship and her master’s research focuses on the mental health impacts of climate change and the right to security of the person under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.Read more...  ​​
