You can register for your courses online using the Self-Service tool in uoZone.
Before you enrol:
- Review your program requirements and recommended course sequence.
- Check your account for any holds (service indicators).
- Make sure any required service requests have been approved.
To help you plan your studies, consult:
- Course enrolment information
- Program requirements and milestones
- Your program's recommended course sequence
If you have a hold on your account, you must resolve it before you can enrol. If you've submitted a service request, wait until it has been approved before attempting to register.
If a hold is removed after the enrolment deadline, submit an enrolment modification request to register for the current term.
Course enrolment information
Use the Course Timetable Search Tool to see the current list of graduate courses offered this academic year. Because course offerings can change, always refer to the timetable when planning your registration.
You must earn at least a C+ to pass a graduate course.
For more information about academic standing requirements, consult Academic Regulation C-4.
Important
Graduate students cannot enrol in undergraduate-level courses.
Full-time status
All graduate students are covered by the University of Ottawa’s Academic Regulation C-1.2. The programs covered by this policy define full-time graduate studies as being geographically proximate to and regularly present on campus and devoting a minimum of 40 hours per week to thesis-related research work primarily during regular working hours. Students are eligible for the holidays and vacation time outlined in policy 110. The Fall and Winter reading weeks are not observed for graduate programs at the Faculty of Medicine.
