The Pathways Program
The Pathways Program provides valuable hands-on research experience and mentorship from graduate students and professors. Through a full-time, paid summer research position, participants spend 16 weeks (May 1–August 31) working in a research lab, developing skills and connections that help prepare them for their Honours research projects.
Testimonials
“Pathways gave me my first taste of what research is like. It made me more confident, not only as a first-generation STEM student, but also as a young professional getting a feel for graduate studies.”
- Kloe Mayhew, 2024 Pathways researcher
“I recently discovered what I might pursue for my Honours project, and I'm deeply interested. Since then, the idea of continuing the research through a master's degree has danced around in my head.”
- Quinn Murray, 2026 Pathways researcher
