The mandate of Grant development services is to provide dedicated proposal development support for large-scale, interdisciplinary grant applications submitted to external peer-reviewed funding competitions.

We collaborate closely with the Faculty research offices, other OVPRI and uOttawa units to ensure effective proposal development. Our collaborations with the other offices and units encompass a wide range of areas, including (but is not limited to) research security, research data management, and consultations on equity, diversity and inclusion and knowledge mobilization.

Note: Major research infrastructure grants such as CFI are supported by the Office of strategic development initiatives.

  • Strategic positioning advice

  • Coordination of internal peer review (where applicable)

Proposals eligible for targeted support are typically at a more advanced stage, having already undergone detailed review and validation by Faculty research advisors. Specific competition details will be available in the coming months.
