Selection of a new Chancellor

Our Chancellor, the Right Honorable Michaëlle Jean, announced earlier this year that she would be stepping down to take up her new responsibilities as Secretary General of the International Organisation of the Francophonie (OIF). Consequently, the University of Ottawa has initiated a selection process to choose a new chancellor.

The University’s Board of Governors is responsible for naming a chancellor, pending Senate approval. However, as a member of the University committee, we invite you to participate in the selection process.

Please review the selection process to learn more about the selection criteria and to nominate a candidate.
