On campus, at Roger Guindon Hall or at 200 Lees: call Protection Services at 613-562-5411, or press the emergency button on your campus phone, or use one of uOttawa’s Protection Services emergency phones (blue phones).
Off campus, at 1 Nicholas or at 600-850 Peter Morand: call 911 and then, only when it is safe, call 613-562-5411 to notify Protection Services of the incident so they can assist Ottawa emergency services.

Safety or health concern, question or issue:
- First, discuss it with your supervisor or other appropriate person (professor, building agent, etc.)
- If the problem is still unresolved, or you would like additional information, contact your Occupational Health and Safety Committee representative and/or the Office of Risk Management at .

For issues requiring immediate action or attention (water leaks, power outages, elevator problems, de-icing, repairs), contact the Facilities Call Center at 613 562-5800 ext. 2222.
Health and safety
Report any hazard you find in the workplace to your supervisor. Advise the Protection Services (613-562-5411) immediately after a critical injury or a situation that requires immediate attention.

Workplace violence includes violence or harassment directed at a worker in the workplace from any person, including a customer, student, client, patient, co-worker, friend, current or former family member or stranger.

Do you have questions, suggestions or concerns about accessibility?
Speak to your supervisor to find out what mandatory training you must complete before beginning a new job or task. Your supervisor must provide you with:
- legally required and mandatory training;
- job- or task-specific training; and
- workplace specific training and orientation.
You cannot perform a new task until you have taken the minimum level of training required and achieved the required level of competency. This requirement is intended to help you perform your work safely and in compliance with applicable legislation and with University policies and guidelines.
