Available 24 hours a day, Protection Services is always there to respond when a member of the uOttawa community is in need. There are numerous ways to reach Protection Services to report an emergency.

And then, only when it is safe, call 613-562-5411 to notify uOttawa of the incident.

uOttawa’s mobile safety app, SecurUO, has a direct dialer to Protection Services.

There are many emergency phones across uOttawa’s campuses. Keep an eye out for them in the areas you frequent in case you ever need to use them. Simply press the button to establish contact with Protection Services.

You can always report an emergency in person by approaching an on-duty Protection Services member or by visiting one of our Protection Services offices:

  • Main campus, 141 Louis-Pasteur (open 24/7)
  • Roger-Guindon campus, Room 2013 (open 24/7)
  • 200 Lees campus, Room C112A (open Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.)

Once in contact with a dispatcher, be sure to describe the situation, the location of the incident, and any other pertinent details clearly and concisely. Also be sure to remain available should additional information be required.
