Mentoring and peer support

Find a mentor
No one is better equipped to support you in your studies and life at university than our student mentors. They can answer your questions and help you with a given task, based on your interests, your hometown or country, your program, or even your preferred language. They’re just waiting for you to contact them: you get to decide what role they’ll play at your side!
If you’re a Canadian student, check out the Regional Mentoring Centre.
If you are an international student, visit the International Mentoring Centre.

uoConnexion
uOConnexion helps new students foster one-on-one relationships with upper-year students at the University of Ottawa.
Sign up for uOConnexion to meet students who are currently attending the University of Ottawa. It’s a great way to meet people even before arriving on campus!

Virtual residence
Join other students that share the same interests as you. Participate in regular meetings, learn new skills and benefit from the support of professional residence life coordinators.

Meet new people
There are plenty of sports and social activities on campus and in the National Capital Region where you can meet new people.
